This statement was released today by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department:
Effective 1/1/2014, the unincorporated communities of Nuevo, Lakeview, Homeland, and Juniper Flats will change coverage areas for law enforcement service from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station to the Perris Sheriff’s Station. This change was done after a review of calls for service data, crime statistics, and community demographics, and transfers these communities to the service area of the patrol station the residents frequently shop and work in.
No disruption in service is expected and the transition is expected to be seamless as the community boundaries are not being altered.
If additional information is needed, please contact Sergeant Robert Rose at 951-210-1015.
