A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver this morning in Canyon Lake.
Scott Bolger 32, of Lake Elsinore had been a patron at a Canyon Lake tavern/restaurant with a friend prior to walking home, police said. Bolger stepped off the sidewalk and into the eastbound number three lane of Railroad Canyon Road when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene.
The Perris Station Traffic Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene at 2:17 a.m. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this investigation is encouraged to call Deputy Rabago at the Perris Sheriff’s Station, 951-210-1000.
