A woman died and a man received serious injuries this afternoon when their motorcycle crashed in the rain on a roadway in Temecula.
The woman was not immediately identified. The man with whom she was riding on the motorcycle, Charles Arnstin of Alberta Canada, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. His riding companion was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to police, the accident took place near the Temecula Creek Inn at 44501 Rainbow Canyon Road, Temecula. The couple was traveling westbound on Rainbow Canyon Road on a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle when they lost control of the motorcycle on the wet roadway. The subjects were thrown from motorcycle onto the roadway.
At this time of the investigation, alcohol/drug involvement is not suspected as a factor in this collision and the investigation is continuing. The roadway was closed for approximately four hours while members of the Temecula Police Department’s Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team conducted their investigation.
