Although it may only be mid November, Wickerd Farm is already getting into the Christmas spirit. This weekend, Nov. 23 and 24, they will open their gates for Christmas tree pre-reservation. What began as a convenient option for annual Wickerd Farm customers has become somewhat of an anticipated and appreciated weekend for the public to reserve the perfect tree. Regulars come to stake out and select their tree and then return the following week to chop it down.
As a family run business, it is safe to say that Wickerd Farm is all about the trees. Offering seven acres of home grown you-cut Monterrey Pines to choose from for that authentic Christmas tradition, the options are really endless. They will also offer pre-cut Noble Firs, Nordman Firs, Silver Tips, and Red Firs to name a few. Reserve weekend is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Wickerd Farm will officially open daily beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving at 10 a.m. The tree farm will then be open every day, Sunday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the holiday season. Weekend vendor booths, a visit from Santa, hayrides, gift shop, kid activities and more are scheduled throughout December too.
