Heritage Classical Charter Schools (HCCS) continues to pursue a new public charter school for Menifee residents. The proposed charter is Menifee Valley Preparatory School. HCCS currently operates Temecula Preparatory School, also a California public charter school.
Why does HCCS do so? Quite simply, demand. For four years in a row, TPS has had a waiting list of over 1,800 students and due to this high demand, very few students outside of Temecula can enroll. Many of those unable to enroll are from the Menifee Valley area.
To address this demand and the need for the more rigorous education that TPS offers, HCCS has committed itself to opening more campuses and has chosen Menifee as its next area of expansion.
Menifee Valley Preparatory School will be a public charter school directly modeled after TPS, which has an outstanding program and reputation. TPS has been recognized by US News and World Report among America’s Best High Schools twice and has been named a California Distinguished School.
In addition to this, TPS is WASC accredited grades K-12, which is very rare, and its K-12 composite API score has been the highest K-12 score in Riverside County for the past two years.
More importantly, its integration of and strong commitment to virtue as part of its educational program sets it apart from many other charter schools.
Many Menifee parents are already very excited about this, which you can check out on Facebook here or at our website here.
