Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society Meeting on Oct. 10

Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society will hold the next meeting of the society on Thursday, Oct, 10 from 1-3 p.m. at the Wildomar Library Community Room.

The speaker will be LEGS member Candy Petersen.  Her topic will be "Let’s Go Over a Few Things-- from the Beginning".  She will be discussing going back to the beginning basics,  research ideas, and organization of your material. 

Petersen has a degree in Paralegal Studies and loves doing research and helping others with theirs. She has been a member of LEGS since 2004, and has been involved in genealogy for over 30 years.   She is a member of Southern California Genealogical Society, New England Historic and Genealogical Society, Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and numerous other local community groups.

The Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society (LEGS) Business and Program meetings are held monthly on the second Thursday of each month except July and August from 1-3  p.m. at the Mission Trail Community Library, 34303 Mission Trail, Wildomar (located between Bundy Canyon and Palomar at Canyon Drive) . Visitors and guests are welcome.  The meeting is free and open to the public.

 

Workshops: A volunteer will be at the library on the fourth Thursday of each month from 1-3 p.m. to assist anyone with beginning their genealogy or to help to further their research.  It is free and the public is welcome. Call Candy Petersen at 951-246-2028 for more information.
