Two women were booked for kidnapping, assault and conspiracy charges Saturday after a 2-year-old child was abducted from his father in Perris, police said today.
Mishay Alls, 23, the child's estranged mother (left), allegedly assaulted the father with pepper spray and fled with the child in a waiting truck, driven by Amber Cochran, 36 (below right), from an apartment complex at 549 N. D Street. According to police, the truck struck a family member who was trying to intervene, causing moderate injuries, as well as several parked vehicles.
Hemet Police Department officers located the vehicle in the 4600 block of W. Florida Avenue at 9:15 p.m. Alls and Cochran were taken into custody and booked at the Southwest Detention Center. The child was reunited with his father.
