Local Artists, Classical Pianist to Display Talents at Reception

Arts Council Menifee President Bill Zimmerman admires the artwork of Kathleen Crain, one of the artists who will appear at the "See Art in Action" reception Sept. 8 at Kay Ceniceros Center.

Local artists and a classical musician will display their talents this Sunday, Sept. 8, from 1-3 p.m. at an Art Gallery Reception hosted by Arts Council Menifee at Kay Ceniceros Community Center.

Guests can see "Art in Action" as they browse the art gallery, where local artists will set up their easels and demonstrate their techniques. Finished artwork will be available for sale and demonstrations of watercolor, oil, acrylic and mono-printing will take place.

In addition, a photographer will be on hand to show the equipment used to produce the fine art photography on display.

Meanwhile, classically trained musician Alireza Tousi will perform at the piano during the reception. Tousi also plays viola with the Redlands Symphony Orchestra. His musical talents also include the violin, piano and operatic voice performance. He teaches piano while continuing his education in music at the University of Redlands.

The public is invited to meet and interact with Tousi and all the artists. The event is free of charge and refreshments will be served.
