A Jurupa Valley man accused of a robbery in Menifee last Monday, Aug. 5, has been arrested by the Colton Police Department on suspicion of two other robberies in San Bernardino County.
Damar Sowell, 21, was arrested in connection with those robberies when he was located after a search warrant was served in the 5700 block of Kenwood Place in Jurupa Valley. Sowell was identified as a suspect in the Menifee robbery through video surveillance and witness interviews.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the suspect approached an employee of a nearby business in the 27000 block of McCall Boulevard and grabbed her purse. He fled on foot southbound through the parking lot. The business was not named in the news release.
Sowell is being held in the San Bernardino County Correctional Detention Center.
