Advertorial supplement:
Menifee Market and Feed, located at 26035 Scott Road, is a small, family-owned market that offers a variety of drinks, snacks and other household amenities. It is known by the community for its propane and feed sales, but what sets Menifee Market apart is its commitment to providing a friendly, community based environment for its customers.
During the search to find missing Terry Smith, Menifee Market allowed volunteers access to the store parking lot and helped the search efforts without any complaint. While the search efforts caused Menifee Market to lose business, store owner Dallal Harb was happy to help in any way she could.
Harb and her husband, Taiseer, have owned the small store for 17 years and have always worked to help meet the needs of the community. After the search effort ceased and business for Menifee Market resumed, Harb said that not only did her regular customers return, so did new ones.
"It hurt us when it [the search effort] was happening," said Harb, "but we've seen a lot of new faces come in."
Since the search for Smith has ended, Harb said that a lot of Menifee residents have come by to support the store. Since the incident, Harb said that people have come into the store saying that they would drive by Menifee Market on a daily basis and never stop, but now they will make sure to buy something every time they drive by.
One of the store's biggest assets is the treatment of customers. Harb welcomes feedback from customers and is always willing to listen to a customer's suggestion to make the store better.
"It's the way that we treat people," Harb said, " We try to provide for them. Every time they've asked for an item, I'll write it down and then we'll order it."
While new business development in Menifee is growing, Harb doesn't feel threatened by bigger chain grocery stores. Menifee Market has its loyal customers and Harb said that the store will be expanding within the next year to include a produce and deli section to further provide convenient necessities to its surrounding community.
Harb said that one of the biggest advantages Menifee Market has over bigger, chain stores, is that she and her employees know everyone who comes into the store. They even know the exact times certain customers will come in.
With a loyal clientele, fair prices and a commitment to meeting community needs, Harb is confident that Menifee Market will continue to provide quality service to the Menifee Community.
Menifee Market and Feed has its own Facebook page with information on its propane and feed sales and other products offered by the store.
