According to a recent announcement by the Judicial Council of California Administrative Office of the Courts, officials have identified Menifee as the preferred site for a new courthouse to replace the existing facility in Hemet, which was built in 1969.
According to the Riverside Superior Court website, the types of cases heard at the Hemet courthouse include civil, small claims, family law and traffic cases. The preferred site for a new facility to handle such cases is located across the street from Countryside Marketplace on Haun Road. The new Santa Rosa Academy is being built to the south of that location, which is part of a proposal to be the site of a new civic center for Menifee.

I have seen the benefits of courthouses in other cities. Employment and average earnings increase significantly. The tax base grows, leading to better roads, parks and education. Awareness and perception of the city improve, leading other businesses to come and bring more employment. Restaurants are built, to serve the many professional workers (lawyers, legal aides and more).
ReplyDeleteJust remember with the courthouse, especially where they want to put it at the corner of Haun and Newport where we already have too much traffic, it will only get worse for traffic.
DeleteWell I would vote but I have seen how much my word is worth in this town with all the city council members being bought off by developers and all, no honest man can make an honest vote here, sort of like voting for president, only the illegal votes count!!!
