The Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society will have its next meeting on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 1-3 p.m. The Genealogical Society will host guest speaker Gena Philibert-Ortega.
Philibert-Ortega, who has a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology and Women’s Studies) and in Religion, will present the program, "Combining Historical Research with your Genealogy."
Philibert-Ortega has written many articles and newsletters on genealogy that have been published in magazines such as APG Quarterly, Internet Genealogy, Family Chronicle and Family Tree Magazine. More information about Philibert-Ortega and other articles she's written can be found on her blog.
Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society Business and Program meetings are held monthly on the second Thursday of each month except July and August from 1-30 p.m. at the Mission Trail Community Library in the Community Room, located at 34303 Mission Trail, Wildomar.
“Getting Started” workshops and/or research assistance are available on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Library from 1-3 p.m.
Guests are welcome to all meetings and workshops and workshops are free.
