The Silver Fire south of Banning and near Wrightwood has spread to 11,000 acres and is 10 percent contained, according to the latest report from Riverside County fire officials.
Four firefighters and one civilian have been injured. The extent of the injuries are unknown, according to Cal Fire.
The community of Snow Creek was the latest area to be evacuated. Homes in Cabazon also are threatened. Earlier today, Black Mountain was evacuated.
