The search for missing 11-year-old Menifee boy Terry Smith continues. Here, a member of the volunteer rescue team discusses efforts to find the boy. We will have an updated story shortly.
I hope they find JuJu and bring him home today! Unfortunately, I have stopped following the "Find Terry" FB account. Volunteers and others Facebook followers have questions on how he disappeared and his disability, suggestions on where to search, where the donated money is going and other ideas to help and their inquiries have been met with rude responses from admins and holier than thou followers. The whole community wants to help, yet unless you can show up to volunteer you are told to mind your business and get off the FB. I am handicapped and my age prevents me from helping in this heat. I will just continue to pray for God to

DeleteI understand, handicapped as well i just drove by and dropped off sunscreen, batteries, flashlights, and chap-stick for the the volunteers. the help is wanted but definitely not form the "officials"
DeleteI'm sorry there are so many ignorant comments. Prayer is much appreciated. I have helped search and I am so sore and tired but so happy to feel helpful. The donations from so many people are amazing. We all do what we can and when you add it all together, we are strong.

ReplyDeleteHOWEVER, please leave your little children at home. This is not a place for them. You are in an area of wildlife, including rattlesnakes. It would be a shame to have yet another child be a possible victim. Also, the donations of food are for the searchers and other volunteers, not to feed a family of five w/ four small children for lunch. To those who cannot join the search, there is still plenty you can do to help. Donations of Garorade, H2O, food and fruit are needed to keep up the strength needed for this ordeal. Yes the FBI and sheriff are searching houses inside and out. They are nice about it but still, It makes me feel all warm inside having strangers look through my house, go in my bedroom, look in my closet. Maybe, people need to remove their head from their ass and keep better watch of their children. Just a thought. I hope they find him.
