Evidently, Daniel Greer of Menifee really wanted to solve this one. It sounds like he worked hard in figuring out that Menifee Maze 3 is a photo of a gazebo at the edge of Menifee Lakes, as seen from the sidewalk on the north side of La Piedra Road, across from Bell Mountain Middle School.
"I decided for 50 bucks, I'll drive around for 15 minutes," said Greer, who wins a $50 VISA gift card. "I knew there were only so many ways to look at that mountain with the two trails coming down it. I had to find the right angle with those trees intersecting it. And I was looking for a Queen Palm branch like that."
Apparently, knowing your palm trees, magnifying revealed squares and calculating angles pays off. Greer said when he saw a location that seemed to fit, he took a picture and matched up the relation of the trees and mountain to the revealed puzzle pieces to figure it out.
Congratulations, Daniel! We will reveal the first piece of Menifee Maze 4 tomorrow.
