Two nights after a large crowd gathered at Menifee Market in a prayer vigil for Terry Smith Jr., hundreds more came together at Wheatfield Park tonight, paying tribute to the young boy who was murdered earlier this week.
Song, inspirational words, the release of orange balloons and a spiritual prayer session afterward marked the event, which was organized by members of the "Justice for Terry" group.
Check back here Saturday for a video report on the event.
I'm sorry, as although I appreciate the thought of this prayer vigil, I just can't picture MY God, MY Savior wanting... especially pushing for "JUSTICE" to be served. My God is one that taught me not to throw stones... but yet to love and forgive as HE did.
ReplyDeleteGod says "vengeance is his". However, the BIBLE also says; "Obey the laws of your land." No one was throwing stones last night, it was a MEMORIAL.....of love and many people gave their life to the LORD last night at the end of the memorial.
