Hope the money raised actually goes where it is supposed to go. Should be two people watching the money within any organization to keep from having money disappear. Just some foot for thought. Seems like the fundraisers for a community should be held in the actual community and not some sleazy casino in another town.
What kind of message is sent to the kids this great organization is helping? Gambling is good? There are so many better ways to fund raise than this. How disappointing that gambling was choosen.
I would suggest you put your money where your mouth is but your foot is in the way. What better way have you sponsored to provide funding for this project? The message you send is one of intolerance and prejudice, If only closed minds came with closed mouths. “ A great deal of what passes for current Christianity consists in denouncing other people's vices and faults.” ~Henry H. Williams
Many restaurants offer fundraising opportunities by having the community go out in force and part of the proceeds go to the organization. I've held many of those with great success. Never resorted to using a casino for raising money for youth projects.
It’s sad your intolerance and haughty moral judgment prevents you from utilizing a valuable source of funds for worthy projects. I guess if I follow the logic of your moral ethos I would have to resort to gluttony as a means to raise funds. What kind of message is that?
