Teen Suspects Arrested in Lake Elsinore Attempted Homicide

Lake Elsinore Police have arrested two female teenagers for attempted homicide and assault with a deadly weapon after officers were dispatched to an area of Lake Elsinore where multiple stabbings were reported.

The suspects Judit Gutierrez, 19, and Karla Duran, 19, both Lake Elsinore residents, are the suspects arrested in the case.

On Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers arrived to the 500 block of West Lakeshore Drive in Lake Elsinore within minutes of being dispatched.

Preliminary investigation revealed that two subjects went to the location to discuss domestic issues with another subject, who was accompanied by three other individuals. It was discovered that after the discussion escalated into a fight, three people were stabbed.

The three victims sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital, where they are expected to survive their injuries.

A description of the suspects' vehicle was issued to police. The vehicle was located near the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Riverside Drive.

The suspects were detained and identified as the suspects in the assault. Evidence linked to the suspects to the assault was located in the vehicle.
