A 62-year-old skydiver fell to his death Saturday after he became entangled in a parachute during a multiple-person maneuver over Lake Elsinore, police said.
Ken Oka, 62, of Mira Loma was part of a group that was attempting the maneuver when he became tangled up in the parachute. Oka attempted to free himself but was unable to. He landed in the backyard of a Lake Elsinore residence about 3 p.m. Saturday.
Oka was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. This is an ongoing investigation by the Lake Elsinore Police Department. A representative with the Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an independent investigation into the death.
