Letter Carriers from the Menifee Post Office worked with the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard in a recent "Stamp Out Hunger" day in town.
Letter Carrier collected 7,062 pounds of food on their routes throughout the community. Cupboard volunteers accepted and sorted the food in preparation for distribution to low income families and seniors in the Menifee Valley.
Twenty nine Cupboard volunteers were on site at the Cupboard to process the donations. The volunteers represented The Oasis, Target employees and Heritage High School, as well as individuals from Sun City and Menifee Lakes.
The Menifee Valley Community Cupboard is a non-profit organization serving residents of Menifee Valley. Emergency Food is provided at no cost to the seniors, families, the working poor and the homeless who are experiencing tough times.
