Firefighters' 'Fill the Boot' Fundraiser Postponed

Riverside County Fire Department officials informed the City of Menifee today that its "Fill the Boot" fundraiser has been postponed.

Firefighters were scheduled to collect cash donations from motorists at the intersection of Newport and Haun Roads Friday and Saturday. However, because of an urgent need for personnel to battle wildfires in the Southland, the event has been postponed. No new date has been announced.

The event raises funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
