Story updated at 10:15 p.m.:
Ten residents ages 8 weeks to 59 years were displaced by a fire that tore through the second floor of a house in the 30600 block of Pier Pointe Circle in Menifee Saturday night.
The Incident Commander from Riverside County Fire has requested assistance from the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported and firefighters contained the fire to the second floor.
First responders arrived about 6 p.m. following multiple reports of thick black smoke coming from a neighborhood just north of La Piedra Road, near Wheatfield Park. When they arrived, heavy smoke was showing from the exterior of the house. According to fire officials, 38 firefighters were on scene and containment was reported at 6:28 p.m.
Cause of the fire is under investigation. Cost of the damage is unknown at this time.
so sad..... our house caught of fire a few years ago and wouldn't wish it on anyone.... I hope everyone is safe
ReplyDeleteWell truck 76 is there its all ok!
ReplyDeleteThis is very sad, right up the street from my house. I pray that everyone is well.
ReplyDeleteMy home's backyard corner touches their backyard. I am a fire captain with Orange County and was at work when the fire took place. Looking over my fence at the damage this morning, I can tell you that Riverside County / Cal Fire did a great job making an agressive attack in stopping this fire. Glad to have these guys protecting my family and home while I am at work!
DeleteWow...10 residents?
ReplyDeleteIs there any info on the gender of the children. My friends and I want to donate clothes and toys but need the genders of the kids and possibly sizes.. And where to drop off donations.
