Two Menifee men were arrested Tuesday for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
David Everhart (left), 60, and Matthew Everhart (below right), 23, were transported to the Southwest Detention Center and booked on those charges. The arrests were made about 3 p.m., after deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Special Investigations Bureau served a search warrant at a residence in the 33000 block of Merritt Road in Menifee.
According to a report in the Riverside Press-Enterprise, the residence is the home of Marc Miller, former Menifee planning commissioner. He has been in the news recently because of his lawsuit against the City of Menifee over his dismissal from the Planning Commission. Miller was not arrested, according to the published report.
Anyone having further knowledge or information pertaining to this case is encouraged to contact Sgt. De La Vara of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Special Investigations Bureau at 951-830-6936, or after hours at 951-776-1099.

Mr. Miller seems to have an opinion about the cause of many things; from sludge to the cause of his angst. My favorite is his conspiracy theory about why his property was searched: That darned city council is at it again!
