In an effort help raise funds for Menifee VFW Post 1956, three restaurants in Menifee will donate a percentage of their sales on specified dates in the coming week.
City and regional officials will attend some of these events, which will help raise funds for Post 1956 to acquire and maintain a multi-purpose building for use by veterans, their families and the community.
The first fundraiser will take place this Saturday, April 27, at Pizza Factory, 25908 Newport Road. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pizza Factory will donate a percentage of its sales to the VFW.
On Tuesday, April 30, BJ’s restaurant in the Countryside Marketplace will host a similar fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mayor Scott Mann and city council members Greg August and Wallace Edgerton will attend the BJ’s fundraiser at 7 p.m.
On the same day, Texas Road House on Haun Road will offer a percentage of its sales in a fundraiser from 4 p.m to 9 p.m. Assemblywoman Melisa Melendez and city council members John Denver and Thomas Fuhrman will be in attendance.
