Investigators have obtained composite sketches of two subjects that were seen in the business prior to the murder of a man in a Temecula music store last month. These subjects are not suspects, but investigators would like to speak to them.
On March 22 at about 7:28 p.m., Edward Lawrence Robinson was murdered during an apparent robbery at Pete's Music and Guitar Shop in the 28700 block of Old Front Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victim bound, unconscious and suffering from injuries that were sustained during the attack. Robinson, a part-time clerk at the store and well-known local musician, died the next day.
Investigators are seeking the public's assistance in gathering information from anyone who was in the business on March 22 and might have seen anything or anyone suspicious in the business complex during that afternoon. The city of Temecula is offering a $25,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects.
Subject No. 1 is described as a thin white male in his 20s, about 5-foot-10, with dark hair and some facial hair. He was wearing a grey long-sleeved t-shirt, grey beanie and dark jeans. He is believed to have tattoos on both arms.
Subject No, 2 is described as a thin Asian male in his twenties, about 5-foot-10, with his spikey hair dyed red with blonde tips. He was wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt and dark pants. He has colorful tattoos on both arms.
Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Investigator Baeza of the Riverside Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777, or Investigator Topete of the Southwest Station at 951-696-3000.
