Menifee residents as well as supporters and cancer survivors from surrounding areas are camped out at Paloma Valley High School this weekend, taking part in the eighth annual Relay for Life Menifee.

To raise funds for cancer treatment and research, supporters formed teams, collected donations in advance, and spend 24 hours taking turns circling the track in the Paloma Valley stadium. They started at 9 a.m. today and will continue in their efforts until 9 a.m. tomorrow. At 9 p.m. tonight, candles will be lit in honor of those who have died from cancer.

Check back here later for more coverage of this major event.
