Breakfast House Los Tejabanes MVCC Ribbon Cutting

Breakfast House Los Tejabanes celebrated its recent opening with an official Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and recognition today. Surrounded by his family, owner and head chef, Miguel Campos cut the ceremonial red ribbon with a giant smile across his face and his restaurant standing behind him.

City officials were in attendance to welcome the Breakfast House to Menifee, as well as several dignitaries from state office. Menifee Valley Chamber CEO Dorothy Wolons gave the opening remarks as Campos joyfully accepted welcome tokens and well wishes for success from various departments.

Aaron Rachman from the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce presented a plaque. Denny Horn from the State Assembly office of Melissa Melendez presented a certificate of recognition, as did David Morgan, representing the office of California State Senator Bill Emmerson. And finally, Menifee City Council member John Denver offered Campos the best of success in his business venture, saying, “Menifee welcomes such a fine establishment as this.”

The Breakfast House is staffed almost entirely by Campos’ extended family, including his supportive wife Teresa and their children Lisabeth, Daniel, Vanessa, Elena, Juan, and Daniel.

“We wanted to work together. Previously, we all worked at different restaurants, so now we get to spend time together while we are working,” said daughter Elena Ramirez.

“The Breakfast House is truly a dream come true,” said Campos.

When asked the meaning behind Los Tejabanes, front of house restaurant manager Lisabeth Campos explained, “Literally translated it means shingles, like on a house. We wanted our restaurant to be a house for everyone. We want people to feel welcome and to gather here.”

After the ribbon cutting, the Breakfast House invited everyone in attendance inside to partake in a spread of finger sandwiches, salads, and platters of food.
