The Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America (with a regional office in San Diego) hosts a monthly support group the fourth Thursday of each month. The next meeting takes place this Thursday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Menifee Community Center at Wheatfield Park, 30627 Menifee Road.
Crohn's disease, named after Dr. Burrill B. Crohn, who first described the disease in 1932, belongs to a group of conditions known as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic disease of the large intestine, also known as the colon.
