The Riverside County Coroner's Office Thursday released the identity of the alleged shooter in the apparent murder/suicide that occurred Sunday night in Menifee.
The 68-year-old man found dead at the scene has been identified as Gerald Pace of Menifee. Police believe Pace shot 49-year-old Debra Vandyke to death, then turned the gun on himself. Both bodies were discovered in the front yard of a residence in the 33000 block of Merritt Road after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call.
