The Paloma Valley High School boys basketball team will host Temescal Canyon High Friday night at 5 p.m. in a one-game playoff to determine the third and final CIF playoff representative from the Sunbelt League.

This game was made necessary by Paloma Valley's 73-71 victory over Lakeside Thursday night. With that victory, the Wildcats finished in a third-place tie with Temescal Canyon. The top three teams in the Sunbelt League qualify for the playoffs.

If the Wildcats win Friday night's game, they will be on the road for a first-round CIF playoff game next week. Playoff pairings will be announced by the CIF Southern Section office on Sunday.
