Four people were displaced from their home Saturday night by a fire that caused heavy damage to the structure in the 23700 block of Casa Bonita Avenue in Menifee.
The American Red Cross was notified for assistance for the two adults and two children living in the single-story, single-family dwelling. According to Riverside County Fire officials, the fire was contained to the attic but there was heavy smoke and fire damage to the house.
The fire was reported at 7:57 p.m. Five fire engines responded to the site, located north of Railroad Canyon Road and west of Goetz Road in the Quail Valley community. The fire was contained at approximately 8:33 p.m.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the firecrews that were at the scene. Thank you for your services, sympathy, condolences etc I can go on. And on another note while the firecrew & homeowners left the home, we had people break into the house & rip off 2 flat screen tv's (soaking wet), 2 computers, power tools, & whatever they could get a hold. For those of you that live in the neighborhood we lost our cat he is 8 months old, Tabby cat white with red spots he has a chip if found please contact Friends of the valley. Thank you

That's in Quail Valley, not near it.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry.
ReplyDeleteAll the way down in Sun City here but we will keep an eye out for your cat just in case. Any other info about him? Color of collar etc? If you haven't already make sure you post a pic of him on craigslist and the locator service with your microchip provider. Hope you find him soon. :)
Where was it? :-/
