The organizers of the Menifee Christmas Dinner are still in need of some food donations in order to prepare for the Christmas Day Event described above.
Jimmy Canales, event organizer, stressed that everyone is welcome to the dinner -- not just the needy. Anyone who doesn't want to be alone on Christmas and would like some warm food and fellowship is welcome.
For those wishing to donate food for the event, the following items are still needed:
10 ea Carved Turkeys
10 ea Carved Hams
11 ea ½ trays (10lbs) Mashed Potatoes. No special recipes.
26 ea ½ trays of stuffing (2 boxes)
19 ea ½ trays of Corn (4 cans per tray)
25 ea ½ trays of Green Bean Casserole
14 gallons of Brown Gravy
28 ea ½ trays of candied yams
7 ea Desserts (pies, cookies, cakes)
Please deliver your prepared food to Marion Ashley Community Center, 25625 Briggs Rd. Menifee, Ca 92585 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24. Use disposable foil “Half Trays” for the food and disposable containers for the gravy.
