Hundreds of residents, young and old, gathered in front of Menifee City Hall Saturday night to watch Mayor Scott Mann light the city Christmas tree and await the arrival of Santa Claus.
Mann, wearing a Santa hat and engaging in snowball fights with the youngsters, welcomed the crowd and threw the switch lighting up the giant Christmas tree in front of City Hall. Then Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in a firetruck and sat down to greet the children.
The Heritage High School band and choir performed Christmas songs, along with other local entertainers. Truly, it is now Christmas time in Menifee.

I'm sorry, aside from this website, where was this advertised?
ReplyDeleteYou make a good point, not everyone has a computer and would even know of this event. I suggest to the city that they erect a electronic billboard at the corner of Newport and Haun to advertise such events and more.....keep the citizens up to date on what's taking place in town.
