Winners of Menifee 24/7 'Be Informed' Contest Announced

Three Menifee 24/7 readers who subscribed to our free email daily subscription service were selected randomly this week to receive a prize package including valuable gifts from local businesses.

They were among the many readers who have signed up to receive daily emails highlighting Menifee 24/7's content. Any visitor to our web site may sign up for this email service by clicking on the "subscribe" button at the top right of the home page.

Winners of the "Be Informed Menifee" contest are Menifee residents Amber Deakins, Linda Morrison and Carol Dovel.

Deakins moved here with her young family a little less than two years ago. She said she likes the exposure Menifee 24/7 gives to the local community.

"My mother has lived here about 10 years," she said. "She was always telling me there's this website that tells you what's going on in the community. She's always forwarding the daily emails to me. Finally, I signed up myself. It's a great news source."

Morrison is a local artist whose works often are displayed by Arts Council Menifee. She has lived in the area for seven years and views Menifee 24/7 daily, both through the email and on Facebook.

Dovel, a 13-year Menifee resident, says she likes the website because "there's no newspaper here. I see things here that I can't find anywhere else."
