Heritage High School's football team continued to roll on in the first round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs Friday night, scoring a 42-28 victory over Palm Desert in a Central Division game at Heritage.
The game marked the return from injury of running back Jamal Morrow, who had seen little action the last couple weeks because of a knee injury. Morrow rushed for 249 yards and a touchdown for the Patriots (10-1), who will play at Arlington in the second round of the playoffs next Friday.
Heritage fell behind 13-0 in the first quarter but began to fight back, with Morrow's younger brother Isiah carrying much of the offensive load until his brother returned shortly before halftime. Isiah Morrow rushed for 98 yards. Quarterback Mat Bradshaw passed for two second-quarter touchdowns to lead Heritage to a 21-13 lead at halftime.
Sione Takitaki added to the Patriots' offense, rushing for 113 yards and three touchdowns.

If Heritage and Paloma Play to their true selves it could be a Central Sunbelt league Championship. I feel Heritage is weaker this year..I give Paloma the inside track to the Championship. David Solis is a solid player on both sides of the ball..He is combination of Jamal and Takei Takei..He will be MVP of CIF Central.
