Odyssey Arts and Entertainment has scheduled a fundraiser Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to create a trust and education fund for a 3-year-old boy whose mother died in a fire Oct. 31 in Murrieta.
The boy was rescued from a fire at the Waterstone Apartments on Hancock Avenue in Murrieta. His 23-year-old mother was discovered deceased in the burning building. He was treated for minor injuries and released to relatives.
To participate, one is asked to contribute a minimum of $10 and wear comfortable clothing for a day of Zumba, Hot Hula, Hip Hop and abs classes and much more. Silent auctions, food sales and other vendors will help raise money for the young boy.
For more information, contact Murrieta Police Department Traffic Investigator Jennifer Metoyer at 951-461‑6375 or jmetoyer@murrieta.org or call Odyssey Arts & Entertainment at 951-239-5254 or OdysseyArtsnEnt@gmail.com.
