The City of Menifee plans to welcome more than 20,000 attendees to this year’s "Birthday Bash" event this Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Mt. San Jacinto College, 28237 La Piedra Road.

The free, family-friendly event will feature a classic car show, live music, KidZone, extreme sports show, local vendors and the "Taste of Menifee" food event.

"The Birthday Bash is a perfect time for neighbors to come out and celebrate all that Menifee has to offer," said City Manager Bill Rawlings. "It’s also a time to reflect on the great strides Menifee has made towards developing our community’s character since incorporating in 2008."

The day will kick off with a classic car show slated from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. More than 200 cars are scheduled to be on hand for visitors to admire. Live music and entertainment will take place on three different stages throughout the day, including rock bands, slam poets and acoustic musicians.

"We have a tremendous assortment of live entertainment this year," explained Menifee’s Senior Manager Rob Johnson, who is heading up the event’s planning. "There is truly something for everyone at this year’s Birthday Bash."

A special KidZone area will be offered from 4-9 p.m. and will feature games, crafts and jumpers. Gale Webb’s Extreme Sports and Air Show will perform at 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. with ramp riding stunts on BMX bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates and scooters.

Shoppers may peruse more than 120 unique vendors who will be exhibiting various products throughout the day. Finally, attendees will be able to sample a variety of local fare at the "Taste of Menifee," which will feature up to 10 local restaurants and six gourmet food trucks.

"The Birthday Bash is a great example of the city’s dedication to creating a safe, inviting community with amenities for residents, businesses and visitors," added Rawlings.
