Menifee City Council will hold its final meeting before the Nov. 6 election Tuesday night, considering proposals by city staff regarding two areas of development.
One of the items on the consent calendar is a request to approve a resolution to begin proceedings for the annexation of zone 176, which includes the Shops at Scott shopping center and an area bordered by Scott Road, Haun/Zeiders Road and Bailey Park Blvd.
This is a procedural matter necessary to include the area in the Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District. As a new zone within this district, the area would be eligible for proper maintenance of signals, street lights and landscaping.
In another consent calendar item, a proposal will be made to annex as zone 106 the area southeast of Interstate 215 and McCall Blvd. This includes the location of the Encanto Apartments, which are in the early stages of construction.
The requests include that a public hearing date be set for both actions.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 29714 Haun Road.
