Pastor Garland Gauthier Elected to Serve as Presbyter

Pastor Garland Gauthier of His Light Assembly of God Church in Menifee has been elected to serve as the Presbyter of the Riverside Section of the Assemblies of God.

In this role, Gauthier will preside over 32 Assembly of God churches in Riverside County. The Presbyter is elected by a majority approval vote cast by the pastors of those 32 churches.

Gauthier will continue in all his duties as Senior Pastor of His Light. He has established a team of eight individuals to assist him with the many demands that come
with the office of presbyter. His church in Menifee, His Light, has always focused on community service and outreach.

God’s Helping Hand Ministries (a division of His Light) administrates The Hacienda Men’s Campus (a one-year, live-in rehabilitation program) and four thrift stores that provide the primary financial support for The Hacienda. GHH also operates four food banks with 12 distribution locations.

Gauthier and his wife of 41 years, Carolyn, established His Light Assembly of God in 1990. His Light is experiencing tremendous growth and has just completed a move into its new facilities at 28125 Bradley Road in Menifee.
