Full containment is expected this morning of the fire that burned nearly 200 acres and threatened dozens of homes in Murrieta.

The fire, which burned primarily in Warm Springs Canyon, was 90 percent contained by midday Monday, according to Murrieta Fire Chief Matt Shobert. Firefighters are expected to wrap up the containment early today.

The fire was reported at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday. Many families evacuated homes in the area but only one home was damaged, Shobert said. Only one minor injury -- a sprained ankle suffered by a firefighter -- was reported.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
