Paloma Valley High School improved its perfect record to 4-0 with its third straight road win Friday night, beating Moreno Valley, 32-3.
Wildcats quarterback Brent Boehm passed for 168 yards and a touchdowns and rushed for 61 yards and a score for Paloma Valley, which has now outscored the opposition 200-29 in four games. David Solis carried 18 times for 166 yards.
The game was stopped with six minutes remaining because of an injury to Moreno Valley running back Amos Murphy. After laying on the ground for several minutes, Murphy was taken away in an ambulance. Players from both sides knelt in the end zone in prayer as Murphy was taken to the hospital. No details on his condition were available this morning.
After a scoreless first quarter, Paloma Valley scored 18 points in the second quarter for an 18-3 halftime lead. The scoring included a 23-yard field goal by Diego Reutter, a 21-yard TD run by Boehm and a 42-yard TD run by Solis, followed by a Matt Orzech run for a two-point conversion.
In the second half, the Wildcats added to the score when Michael Valencia passed 38 yards to Solis for a touchdown and Boehm passed 21 yards to Christian Davis.
Paloma Valley piled up 411 yards total offense. Charlie Wallace led the defense with eight tackles and Jason VonMoos had six.
The Wildcats will finally return home next Friday with a 7 p.m. game against Temecula Valley.
