Former Menifee City Council member and current mayoral candidate Scott Mann officially qualified for the Nov. 6 ballot Thursday afternoon, while two others qualified for city council seats heading into the campaign season.
Mann, who is currently serving on the Menifee Union School District Board, was approved Thursday by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters. Also qualifying Thursday were District 1 city council candidates Carol Sullivan and Nick Martin.
Sullivan, an active participant in community affairs here since 1986, will run against incumbent Sue Kristjansson, Greg August and Martin in District 1, which includes the northwest portion of Menifee, including much of Sun City.
Two other candidates for city government seats have yet to qualify. District 3 candidate and current council member Wallace Edgerton submitted his paperwork Thursday afternoon and is awaiting approval. John F. Smith, a candidate for mayor, is scheduled to submit his papers on Friday, the last day to do so, said city clerk Kathy Bennett.
Mayoral candidate Darcy Kuenzi and District 3 candidate Bill Zimmerman previously qualified for the ballot.
