BJ's Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for Friday, 11 a.m.

One of the most highly anticipated business openings of the last year will become reality this Friday, Aug. 17, when BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse holds its ribbon cutting at 11 a.m.

Menifee's newest restaurant is located at 30208 Haun Road in the Countryside Marketplace. City and Chamber of Commerce officials will be hand to celebrate the opening of BJ's, which is a signficant addition to Menifee's selection of dining establishments.

Founded in 1978 in Santa Ana, BJ's has since opened restaurants across the U.S. Continuing to serve its trademark deep-dish pizza, BJ's also offers a wide variety of handcrafted beer. The restaurant is also famous for its pizookies -- dessert pizzas made from a selection of cookie dough flavors and topped with ice cream.

The public is invited to participate in the celebration. The restaurant will open for business on Monday, Aug. 20.
