Summer Guide for Valley-Wide Parks: July

This month marks Valley-Wide's 40th anniversary serving ours and surrounding communities. The District was founded on July 27, 1972 with the idea that a special district focused on recreation and parks would have a tremendous positive impact on the community.

The Valley-Wide Parks and Recreation District has made it their mission to ensure local residents have plenty to do all summer long. The local parks are packed with family fun activities both day and night.

Wednesday, July 4, 2012: 4th of July Celebration

Celebrate the 4th of July close to home at Valley-Wide’s Regional Park. Starting at 9 AM enjoy food and craft vendors, kid friendly fun, live entertainment, and at 9 PM a grand finale fireworks spectacular.

Friday, July 6, 2012: Movie in the Park (The Secret World of Arrietty)

Settle in for the animated motion picture, The Secret World of Arrietty, under the stars. Movie starts at dusk, around 7:30 PM. Popcorn, hot dogs, and juice are available for purchase.

Friday, July 6, 2012: Movie in the Park (The Sandlot)

Bring a blanket and chairs to enjoy the family movie The Sandlot, on the big screen under the stars. Movies are FREE, suitable for all ages, and begin at dusk (around 7:30 PM).

Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and enjoy the family friendly film, Jack and Jill, under the stars. Movie begins at dusk and is FREE for everyone. Popcorn is provided, hot dogs are available for purchase.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012: Summer Fun Day

Registration deadline for Fall Youth Coed Basketball season, August through October. Open to girls and boys ages pre-k to 11th.
