Canyon Lake Community Theatre is selling tickets to its upcoming production of "Annie Jr." as well as looking for local businesses to donate items for fund-raising raffles during the four performances.
"Annie Jr.," starring volunteer actors and produced by volunteer workers, will be presented July 27 (7 p.m.), July 28 (2 p.m. and 7 p.m.) and July 29 (3 p.m.). Tickets are $15 (VIP seating), $12 (general admission), $10 (seniors and students) and $8 (children under 12). Anyone purchasing a ticket will be placed on a call-in list, allowing them into the gated community for the performance.
To purchase tickets or offer donations for the fund-raising raffles, call 951-746-4619.
The City of Menifee Code Enforcement Division has extended the deadline to Aug. 3 for residents to clear their property of excess weeds, as required by the city's hazardous abatement program.
Each year, weed abatement notices are mailed to owners of vacant property where weeds have become a problem or property that is considered a potential problem during fire season. If property owners do not comply by the deadline, the work will be performed by city crews, with the property owner charged for the work.
