Public Safety Organizations Invite Public to National Night Out Event July 28 in Menifee

The Menifee, Perris and Canyon Lake police departments, in cooperation with the Riverside County Sheriffs Department, will host a National Night Out event on Saturday, July 28 at Wheatfield Park in Menifee.

The event will last from 5-9 p.m. The Sheriff's Department will have a large number of department displays, including live K-9 and posse demonstrations. Riverside County Fire Department units will feature live "Emergency Rescue Extraction" demonstrations and display other lifesaving equipment.

The public safety celebration allows families the opportunity for a free picnic style dinner in the park with music, prizes and giveaways, plus displays and activities for children of all ages.

Storm Baseball Team Schedules Golf Tournament

The eighth annual Storm Golf Tournament, featuring players and front office staff from Lake Elsinore's minor league baseball team, will take place Aug. 6 at Redhawk Golf Course.

The event will begin with breakfast and check-in at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fees range from $150 for an individual to $550 for a foursome to $1,100 for a foursome with tee box and specialty contest.
