The City of Menifee was recently awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Finance Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, honoring the work done in the city's annual financial report.
This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The City of Menifee's financial report was judged by an impartial panel and found to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and groups to read the report.
"This award is another indication of the city's commitment to professionalism, financial stability, and stewardship of the city's financial future," said City Manager Bill Rawlings.
The city's CAFR can be found on the city website at www.cityofmenifee.us.
