Library Offers 'Bag of Books for a Buck'

Friends of the Sun City Library offers a special deal for book lovers this Saturday, July 21 with a "Bag of Books for a Buck" sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library, located at 26982 Cherry Hills Blvd. in Sun City.

This is a quarterly event held to clear the group's inventory of donated books and to provide inexpensive books to community members. Everyone who attends is given a large shopping bag and is allowed to take all the books they can fit into one bag for a total of $1. More than 2,000 books are available.

Friends of the Library has a used book store in the library and averages about $2,000 a month in sales of used books that are donated by residents. Most books can be purchased for under $5. Hundreds of buyers show up each quarter for the "Bag of Books for a Buck" event, which is an even better bargain.
