The 4th day of July, originally deemed Independence Day, annually celebrates the official adoption of the Declaration of Independence affirming freedom for America.
In today's world we proclaim our patriotic pride with barbecues, carnivals, festivities, and of course, fireworks. So for this red, white, and blue favorite five we pinpointed 5 local spots to celebrate the Fourth in true American style, with food and fire(works).
Annual Independence Day Celebration: Menifee
Menifee is celebrating a little early with one big party in Wheatfield park on Saturday evening, June 30th. Starting at 5:00 PM the Grand Marshall Mayor Denver will lead the parade along La Piedra Road, followed by live musical performances, craft and food booths, a fun zone for the kids, demonstrations, and more. The grand finale Fireworks Show starts at 9:00 PM.

If you happen to have a Spiderman costume lying around, you might want to stop by Menifee (or any) Carls Jr. location on July 4th for a free Amazing Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger.
And if you’re still wondering where to watch the fireworks on the Fourth of July, we’ve got a list of every sparkling show from here to San Diego, courtesy of our friends at SWRNN.
