Family Care and Consistency Are Keys to Success for Menifee's Dr. Vadim Gurvits

Dr. Vadim Gurvits values family and community loyalty as much as he does his medical practice. That's one reason Dr. Gurvits is so successful in his family care practice -- one of five medical services he provides to Menifee residents.

Dr. Gurvits and his wife are raising three children in Menifee, with another on the way. He is invested in this community and tries his best to pass on that element of loyalty and family care to his patients.

"What I provide my patients is continuity of care," Dr. Gurvits said. "I've been here in town 13 years. I'm raising my family here and I plan to be here for the next 30 years."

In the family care portion of his medical practice, Dr. Gurvits sees patients of all ages. "Everybody from newborns to people over 100," he says. Providing this type of care to all members of the family is not only convenient for his patients but also helps build family unity.

His services include appointments after hours, on Saturdays and on holidays. Patients with urgent needs are seen immediately. In addition to treating common illnesses, Dr. Gurvits provide vaccinations, performs school physicals and gives sports physicals. He also offers travel immunizations.

"The only thing we don't offer is a hospital bed," said Dr. Gurvits, who also offers urgent care, weight loss care, suboxone treatment for opiate addiction and aesthetics.

Dr. Gurvits prides himself on the loyalty of his long-time staff members and their "compassionate attention" to patients.

"We've solved the access issues inherent with a lot of physicians," said Dr. Gurvits. "We see patients who say that when they went to the ER, they had to wait hours. With some HMOs, they couldn't get in to see their doctor for two or three months. So we offer same-day appointments and extended hours and we don't charge extra."

Dr. Gurvits' office is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
